Expanded Veterans Discount Program
2008 Pilot (lottery)
The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation (IDPR), in conjunction with the Idaho State Legislature, is initiating a 3-year Expanded Veterans Discount Pilot Program in an effort to sample the use of fee discounts within Idaho State Parks by a larger audience of Idaho Veterans.
The pilot program will provide a waiver of park entrance and basic campsite fees to any Idaho resident who is a disabled veteran and whose service-related disability is rated at fifty (50) to ninety (90) percent permanent and total disability.
An annual lottery will be used to select 300 individuals to participate in the pilot each year. The first year’s program will be effective January 1 through December 31, 2009, based on a Lottery to be held in December 2008.
All qualifying veterans who are interested in participating in the 2009 Pilot Program are invited to submit their applications by December 1 2008. Apply Now!
