Eagle Island is a 545-acre day-use park west of Boise that features a popular swimming beach, a grassy picnic area, a waterslide and more than five miles of trails for those looking for a place to ride horses, hike, walk your dog, or play disc golf.

Eagle Island State Park features multi-use trails for those looking for a place to ride their horses or take a leisurely walk along the Boise river.
For summer fun, this day-use park features grassy picnic areas with tables, two group shelters, a playground, multi-use trails, a disc golf course and a waterslide. It’s a great getaway near the capital city. No glass containers, pets or fishing allowed on designated beach or within buoyed swim area.
Exciting Changes
Exciting things are taking place within Eagle Island State Park. Development of the park's Master Plan is underway. Construction has begun and in the next few years, the layout of the park will change and the recreation opportunities within the park will be expanded. There will be opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, ice skating, camping and so much more.

Development/construction within the park will take place in phases. Throughout each phase, the park will continue to be accessible to the public, although the trail system within the park will change with each phase.

Trail maps will be modified accordingly and made accessible to the public for download online. Copies of the revised trail maps may also be found at the park's entrance station or in the office.

Disc Golf
Eagle Island offers an 18-hole disc golf course from October to April and a 9-hole disc golf course year round.

Waterslide
The waterslide is open Thursday through Sunday and holidays from noon to 8 pm during the summer. Download a waterslide operation schedule.
Park Fees
Waterslide rides are 10 for $5 and all-day unlimited ride passes are available for $10. The vehicle entrance fee is $4 per vehicle and shelters can be reserved for $40. For picnic shelter reservations please call 208-939-0696.
